We left an extra day for fun in Chicago before we headed home. Charmayne wanted to shop Michigan Avenue, my wallet didn't. So we took a family vote - 1 vote Michigan Ave. 5 votes LegoLand! The kids discussed their favorite activities from the trip as we headed home. Not surprisingly swimming and LegoLand were #1 and #2. This is generally how the family vacation works out with young children - the simpler the activity, generally the better. Charmayne and I really enjoyed Nauvoo and seeing family. We know the kids really enjoyed those things as well but as Lieutenant George Acres said to Lieutenant Commander Ewen Montagu in the movie The Man Who Never Was - "You know, Monty, what we really want is something absolutely simple, the simpler the better." Enjoy the pictures. Grandma Weese will especially appreciate the last four. Paige was really excited to her picture with Harry Potter (not included) and the President!
